창고로 쓰이던 기존건물을 허물고 들어서는 새로운 건물에 비움이라는 컨셉을 통해 통합적인 기초생활거점으로 거듭나고자 한다.

Replacing the old warehouse, the new building embraces the concept of VOID to be reborn as an integrated living hub that connects people, spaces, and stories.

1. 모임과 흩어짐을 위한 비움 _ 1층 전면에 설성마당을 만들어 줌으로서 3개동

건물의 중심공간 제공

2. 연결과 소통을 위한 비움 _ 2층의 전망데크와 연결브릿지를 통해 각각의 건물이 아닌 하나의 통합공간으로서 작동하게 하여 보행의 안전성과 편의성을 제공

3. 이야기를 담기 위한 비움 _ 다양한 이야기를 담아내는 장소로 기억되기 위한 비움. 반찬봉사, 작업 및 플리마켓 등의 기능을 하는 설성마당 / 추후 필요시 

증축부분으로 남겨둔 공간인 설성후원을 활용한 잔치 및 영화상영 등 조용한 야외행사장으로, 내부 프로그램과의 시너지를 계획

4. 바라보기 위한 비움 _ 중심축으로써 설성면 전체를 바라보고 지역을 인지할 수 있는 휴식공간을 제공하고, 장소의 역할과 정체성을 더욱 견고히 하고자 함.

1. VOID for Gathering and Dispersion

By introducing Seolseong Courtyard at the front of the first floor, a central void is created among the three building wings, encouraging community gatherings, encounters, and shared activities.

2. VOID for Connection and Communication

The second-floor observation deck and connecting bridges transform the complex into a single unified spatial system rather than three separate buildings, enhancing both pedestrian safety and accessibility.

3. VOID for Stories

The Seolseong Courtyard serves as a venue that captures and shares various community stories — such as side-dish volunteer programs, workshops, and flea markets.

The Seolseong Rear Yard, reserved for potential future expansion, offers a quiet outdoor venue for banquets and film screenings, generating synergy with indoor programs.

4. VOID for Observation

Positioned along the central axis, this void provides a resting space overlooking the entire Seolseong area, reinforcing the site’s identity and symbolic presence within the community.
